We have partnered with two South American organizations whose missions align perfectly with our own: The Andean Cat Alliance and The Peruvian Desert Cat Project. First, it's full of delicious organic chocolates from the San Martin region of Peru. And second, part of your purchase is supporting the Andean Cat Alliance AND the Peruvian Desert Cat Conservation Project!!  Just like El Gato Chocolates, these organizations cares about the protection of the wild cats and the conversations of their habitats across all South America. The Andean Cat Alliance will use your contribution for research, to promote efforts of nature conservation, to increase community participation and understanding of their surrounding environments, and for the management of wild areas. Peruvian Desert Cat team study the pampas cat or Peruvian desert cat (also Leopardus colocolo) distribution range and evaluate the human perception toward this feline in the Sechura Desert and dry forest of Peru and Ecuador. They conduct environmental education workshops for local people highlighting the importance of the pampas cat and their ecosystem.
